I have never experienced anything bad during Nusa Lembongan or when I went to the Mangrove Forest. All the natives there are fine. Even Kelvin shop owner and his family are like my own brother now ❤
Yes. It is true that is why it is necessary to use nonpolluting means of locomotion in this ecosystem
For 100k you can get a private boat tour in a non motorised boat, which takes about 20 to 30 minutes. It is a really cool activity and since there is not a lot to do on the islands I’d suggest to take your scooter to the outskirts and make this nice trip
The place in itself is nice, tranquil and a chance to see wildlife such as a water monitor and birds. But the tourist trap it is!! Wow, people stepping in front of your motorbike to make you stop, fooling you by telling you the road ends there. It does not! Pure maffia, and then the prices they try to charge you for an hour's worth of kayaking through mucky, crowded, plastic ridden canals... And not to mention the expressions on the boat captains faces... Man of looks could kill.
Not sure it's quite worth it. Definitely don't do the boat tour, not worth the 200k, once in the Mangroves it only lasts about 15mins. Theres not tons to see either, if you are gonna do it, much better off kayaking
This will be a different experience from the beaches yet very close to the beach. You can take at 20 to 25 minutes boat tour through local boat owners. Will take you through the mangroves forest in a small boat. Don't say anything more than IDR 1,00,000 per person. If you are 2-3 people then negotiate further because there is nothing special about this place is just a new experience.
Cristal clear water on in coming tide , the reef just offshore great fish life and nice corral but must be done at high tide , the out going tide makes the water murky from the mangroves .
A nice place to rent a kaiake, and just enjoy this peaceful peace
My girlfriend and me rent a kanoe/kajak for 1 hour and get the tip to go straight into the Forest. I have experiences with kajaks so it was no problem to navigate through the small ways. We saw a lot fishes, the special trees and the colourfull crabs. Really nice to see and i think with the bigger boats not possible to get there. For 200.000 idr per hour it was realy nice and we didnt had the impression to miss something. We would visit the next stay as well.
Had a wonderful experiences when I & my hubby sailing around this forest. It was so peaceful and made us feel relax. We rent the boat and driver for 2 peoples only for 150. Yes we bargained from 200K to 150K. It was unforgettable experiences!
Lovely and relaxing, quiet, peaceful gliding through beautiful meandering waterlanes. Many different species of mangrove trees, labeled, so educational. Choice of sanpans poled by older local men.
Lots of options for exploring the mangroves including stand up paddling, self-kayaking, or on a "pole-pushed boat" by a local guide.Very relaxing. Also, soem boats will take you for the 5 minute ride out to the excellent reef for snorkelling.
It is worth to visit Mangrove forest in Nusa Lembongan. Beautiful, quiet. You can choose between canoeing, canoeing + guide, boat trip, or gondola trip. We choose gondola trip for 200K. Canoeing without guide is 150K per canoe. It is beautiful and there are many warungs or restaurant around there that you could enjoy the view while having a drink.
Don't pay for a single entry fee, not a single one. I was hesitant about taking a boat tour through the forest, but it was my first time to SE Asia and my gf wanted to do it. Price was like 100,000IDR.Tour is quiet cause the local dude does not speak much english, but he does try to teach you some things! So the tour is quiet and you don't learn much, but it looks cool, it wasn't a scam and you are helping out the local boat man! Our scooter was safe even though we didn't pay to park it there and a lot of people tried to stop us and pay. The forest isn't really anything to write home about, lasted 20-25 minutes. Thanks boat man!
You can get a 10 min long boat tour to see around, beautiful nature
Nice experience, sailing the boat slowly with local guide while enjoying the mangrove. You need to spend 100k rupiah per person for this.
Worth visiting, but make sure the tide is high.
Really relaxing trip. We took paddle boards and cruised through. The reason I give it 4/5 is because it would be nice to get an indication before hitting the dead end. It took us a good 15 minutes of hassle to get back on track..
*Do NOT pay entry fee! *Great fun!*Personal kyak is best value for 1hr - not private.*Negotiated to 50K at the mangrove river (drive/walk all the way to the waterside). *Do NOT buy sunscreen there! 50% cheaper inland.
Nice spot to spend an hour. We should have taken a canoe but since we travelled with a five year old we decided to go by boat. Do tge canoeing if you can! The water is cool enough for it.
Quiet and cool place for kayaking.
Visit was too short but worth it if you have never been though mangrove forest before! We loved it!
It's an okay place..definitely a change in scenery from all the beaches. Make sure you negotiate a good price before taking any boat ride. It's a short ride and not too much more to see other than mangroves. I did not notice any wildlife if there was any
It was wonderful to be able to kanoe between the mangrove trees. There is enough water there so even in lower tides you can still go there. The gondola's with boatmen on them are very busy in this area and make kanoeing very difficult sometimes. Come a bit later in the day and there are less of them. However when you are alone you can really enjoy the silence and views of the mangrove! Be careful though when the tide is low you don't end up stuck on the beach when following the flow to the sea 😇
Just loved paddleboarding throughout the Mangrove Forest. Continued our visit with snorkeling outside Lembongan and Nusa Penida. Garantued relaxation.
You can take a quiet boat ride here amongst the mangrove. Nice and peaceful. Don't feel aahamed to negotiate the price as you can get AT LEAST 50% off from the quoted price. There are few nice restaurants with view of the mangrove.
We paid 200k IDR for a boat tour and really enjoyed it. The pilot uses a stick to punt you around. It's very quiet and peaceful. Don't get too excited about the crabs as they are tiny!
Short trip, no explanations, just looking. But Mangrove forest itself is cool to look at.
So beautiful and peaceful! Skip the motorized boat and opt to paddle yourself around for an hour to experience the mangrove properly and go off the official trail. Paddle out to sea for a bit to enjoy the tranquil, warm waters away from the other boats.
Kayaking in the Morning, quite and nice place! Best time to get tour in the Morning,
This was an awesome experience that we accidently stumbled into while driving too far down the road. The lady said the road ended and we needed to park. Then we were shown a kayak and paid 100k for two people to kayak through the forest. It was a unique and peaceful experience, highly recommend headed there.
Prefer visit this site at 10 am
Beautiful place. If you rent a kayak your you will have the chance to see things that you wouldn't if you take the boat tour.
We loved the mangrove. To visit and witness such kind of ecosystem, while being on a beautiful island, is really rare. Go over there and speak to locals to jump on one of their boats, or even paddles if you feel like. You might even see some big lezard like we did. A must on Nusa Lembogan.
Breathtaking place with amazing flora. During one hour canoeing we have seen only three other groups of tourists. We were also lucky to see three big beautiful birds. You can canoe from the forest straight to open water and go back to mangrove by different route.
That was the first time visiting a mangrove forest and I liked it a lot! We rented a double kayak for 100IDR per hour (50IDR per person), if you rent single kayak it should cost 50IDR, that was in low season if makes a difference.. it was super fun! as for animal life we only saw these cool crabs as you can see on the photo. Make sure to use sunscreen, somehow my back got super burnt even in though we were in the shade..*Perfect for first timers*Don't pay for parking, it's a scam*They would say you can't drive till the end but you can
Nothing special, but mice tp be paddled around in a boat by the locals.
Pretty good if you've never seen a mangrove. Very peaceful place and interesting tree formations. Great as part of a tour.
Serene. Tranquil and peaceful. I loved it. It was high tide so the boat trip from Bali mainland was rough.
If you’re visiting this area and have the time, do not miss this experience. Opt for the kayak where you should pay only 50k per person. They’ll try to stop you on the road but that’s the sale tactic, keep going til the end.
Loved this experience. Make sure you drive all the way down to the dead end, people try to stop you before and claim you can't park at the entrance but this is scam to get you to pay them to park and take you into the forest. There is parking once you get all the way down and then just go up to the boats directly and barter for a good price. It last about 30mins and it was incredibly peaceful, beautiful and lots to see.
Went to this place with my friend. Quiet and peaceful. The lady that ride the boat was awesome and very kind. She gave us aloe vera for my friend skin burn.
Nice to see for at least once in your life. 100k IDR is a fair price for a 20-30min ride. If you've been to other mangroves before not a must go.
Nice place to visit if you haven’t been into a Mangrove before. No wild life to see but it’s a nice place to visit especially the entry and exit points. One can rent a boat with a guide or you have the option of renting a kayak. It’s a 2 seater and I rented it for about 100,000/- it takes you an hour or and hour and a half to finish depending on your pace but you can’t get lost.
Romantic place for doing kayak or a small boat tour. Taking the mangrove exit to the sea you will reach one of the best places for snorkeling in Trawangan.
Mangrove Tour :30 minutes with man who paddled for you60 minutes if you paddle yourself. If you lost and exceeded the time, you will be charged for excessive time.Very recommended!!!!Beautiful clear water. Also there's snorkeling, stand paddling, and swim with fishes in manta
A different experience. Don't miss it! Really nice and quiet in the mangrove. Negotiate your boat trip as you will have everyone trying to take you on their boat. Unlike what some dishonest locals will tell you, there is no entrance fee (they might try to stop you if you are on a scooter), so don't pay! Also worth having a little walk on the beach opposite the mangrove. The tide is really low there and you can see some really nice mangrove trees growing on the beach.
Great place to visit where you can do the tour by small boat or kayak. Don't forget to take photos between the mangrove. Thanks to Captain Nyoman who is very friendly and helpful.
Very nice. Had a private tour for 100k during low season
Interesting if you've never been to a mangrove before
nature sight. but not so worth as it only short distance
Of course - if you haven't seen the mangrove forest - it's nice to see it.It's a 30-50 minute experience, depending on how well you are doing rowing.
